How to Use the Pomodoro Dashboard
Choose your preferred mode — 25/5 for classic Pomodoro intervals or 50/10 for extended deep work. Press Start to begin a focus session. When the timer ends, a break period starts automatically. Each completed focus session is logged to your browser's local storage.
The dashboard aggregates your sessions into daily, weekly, and monthly statistics. The streak counter tracks consecutive days where you completed at least 4 Pomodoros, helping you build a consistent focus habit.
Reading the Heatmap
Research shows that regular daily focus sessions produce better results than occasional marathon sprints. Aim for at least 4 sessions per day to keep your streak alive.
- Darker cells indicate more sessions completed on that day.
- Hover any cell to see the exact date and session count.
- Empty cells represent days with no recorded sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Pomodoro Statistics Dashboard track my sessions?
Each time you complete a focus session using the built-in timer, the dashboard logs the date, duration, and mode (25/5 or 50/10) to your browser's localStorage. No data is sent to any server — everything stays on your device.
What is the difference between the 25/5 and 50/10 Pomodoro modes?
The classic 25/5 mode uses 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break. The 50/10 mode doubles the intervals — 50 minutes of focus and a 10-minute break — which suits deep work sessions that benefit from longer uninterrupted stretches.
How is the streak counter calculated?
The streak counts consecutive calendar days where you completed at least 4 Pomodoro sessions. If you miss a day or complete fewer than 4 sessions, the streak resets. Your longest streak is also tracked for motivation.
What does the productivity heatmap show?
The heatmap displays a GitHub-style contribution calendar spanning the last 52 weeks. Each cell represents a day, colored from light to dark based on how many Pomodoro sessions you completed. Hover over any cell to see the exact date and session count.
Can I export my Pomodoro data?
Yes. Click the Export JSON button to download a complete JSON file containing all your session logs, statistics, and streak data. You can use this for personal analytics, backups, or importing into other productivity tools.
